This website is the digital cabinet where I store my art. While self-isolating due to the Covid-19 pandemic, like many others who felt the need to do something fulfilling besides caring for their family, I decided to make time for creating art. I got back into my meditative and calming Zentangle® hobby. I also undertook various Udemy art lessons. The last time I had any art instruction was in high school decades ago. I will be sharing my learnings, my progress, and references in my blog and galleries. Enjoy! Here’s a list of Top 10 random things about me.
How I dirty paper…

Tangling
What is tangling? No, it’s not tangling yarn or hair. I define it as doodling specific patterns and meditating at the same time. It really relaxes me and helps drive anxiety away.
This type of drawing was formalized as the Zentangle® method circa 2003 by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts. In The Book of Zentangle, Rick and Maria describe this wonderful art form as “an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.”

Drawing
Currently, I’m trying to improve my realism and portrait drawings. My favourite mediums for creating illustrations are pen, ink, and pencil. Also, when I am feeling challenged, I do digital drawings and paintings.Â

Painting
If only I had more time for hobbies! Alas, I have not delved much into painting. Unfortunately, I only have a few pieces done in acrylic, watercolour and gouache paint.

2 | Favourite foods are chocolate and prime rib yet I’m allergic to both. |
3 | My taste in music is all over the place. So, please no comments on my Spotify playlist if you happen to come across it. |
4 | Blessedly, I am a mom to girl/boy twins. And no, they are not identical… one is a girl and one is a boy. =D |
5 | What I wanted to be when I grew up (in chronological order): A fashion designer, a piano teacher, a veterinarian, a boss lady, an artist and a trashy romance novelist. Alas, I only accomplished two out of the six. |
6 | I started piano lessons at age 3 1/2 years old. |
7 | My brother and my husband spoil me when it comes to concerts and Broadway plays. Why? Because we have to be within the first 8 rows and on the floor. Otherwise, I just YouTube it. |
8 | If you need a violinist (or 8 other instruments he has mastered) and a keyboardist, my brother and I are available for weddings, funerals and special events gigs. Ping me. |
9 | I’ve drunk 5 “Screaming Chickens” drinks in my lifetime which is bad tequila, raw egg + tabasco… ’nuff said. |
